It was like running on my backyard, and I'm not the only one who felt like that. Good courses except for the trap on 10th leg: I fell for it and planned my route to no. 1 instead. Surely runners outside the capital region found it all difficult enough, but some of us had a home advantage.

1st leg ok. 2nd leg I knew the control area and therefore could find it with minimal effort. Same thing on 3rd. 3-4-5-6 were those annoying hill-to-hill legs and I misread the last 20m on 6th, causing a very small mistake. On the long leg should have gone last 300m differently, but that did as well. 7-8-9 ok with leading anchors passing me. On 10th fell for the trick, otherwise would have at least considered other routechoices. This route did quite alright though. Next an easy leg. To 12th I didn't hit the footbridge but it was ok, no trouble. Nailed 13th. A bit wiggly start to 14th but nailed the attack. Full of confidence after a somewhat good run I took none of the two tracks to 15th yet still got straight on point. But. I thought the control was on the boulder (instead of west side of a hill). So I checked the boulder and didn't see a flag. Thought it was strange, went to check another boulder - no flag. Checked my location - correct. And then I happened to run to the top of the hill and... I was furious at me for doing that kind of mistake on second last control of a good run. My sprint to finish (changeover) started there.
